YOUTH MINISTRY

Sunday School

Children grow in the knowledge of the Bible and their Savior each Sunday from 9:45 – 10:45 am.  Several classes are offered for ages Preschool – Grade 8.  There are no classes on the weekends of Memorial Day, Labor Day, Easter Sunday and the Sunday following Christmas.

Confirmation Class

This class is typically offered to members of our church who are in the 7th and 8th grades.  It is a two- year course which instructs youth in the truths of the Bible using Luther’s Catechism.  Once this course is completed, students are prepared to receive Holy Communion and become communicant members of our church.  Speak to Pastor Butler if you’d like more information.

Teen Bible Study and Activities

Young adults in the 9-12th grades attend Bible study and continue to build on the foundations of their faith on Sundays from 9:45 – 10:45 am.   They also serve by helping with various church and community service projects throughout the year as well as attend a regional or national Christian youth rally in the summer.

Toddler Time with Jesus
Children ages 2-3 and their caregivers are invited to this free, fun hour of activities that includes a hands-on Bible story, music and movement, storytelling, a craft and snack.  Families will build relationships with their child, their peers and other adults.  They’ll also learn about Jesus, the world around them and make new friends.  Class takes place most Wednesdays at 9:30 am.  Please see the Calendar for exact meeting dates.  If you are new in joining us, please contact us so that we can have the proper number of supplies prepared for everyone to enjoy their morning.  Thanks!

Little Stars of Bethlehem Early Learning Center (LSB ELC)
At Little Stars it is our commitment to nurture a child's spiritual growth, as well as to instill in them a love for learning. Dedicated staff and educated teachers provide a warm, Christian environment, while our small class sizes and developmentally appropriate curriculum help prepare children for the next steps in their education.  Please check their website at www.littlestarsofbethlehem.org for all the details!

Women’s Ministry
Our Women’s Ministry exists to provide women the opportunity to grow in their faith and Christian friendships, as well as serve those within our church, the community and around the world. There are a variety of activities they participate in throughout the year.

The Women’s Bible Study and Fellowship Nights take place in the evening on the 2nd Friday of most months.  Please see the Church Calendar for meeting dates, times and activities.

WORSHIP AND MUSIC MINISTRY

We invite you to worship with us!  Our services take place Sunday mornings at 8:30 and 11:00 am.  The focus of what we do in worship is on God’s great deeds done on behalf of all people, especially in sending his Son, Jesus to be our Savior.  Reminders of these important truths, of God’s love and forgiveness and Jesus’ work of salvation, can be seen in everything from our service folder, to our standing and sitting, singing, the sermon, Baptism and Holy Communion…even in what the pastor wears!

Adult Choir
“Sing to the Lord a new song!”  Our Adult Choir sings or helps lead worship nearly once a month in our worship and festival services.  Young people and adults meet most Tuesday evenings from 7:30 – 9:00 pm for rehearsal.

Hand Chime Choir
Children and adults alike occasionally form a hand chime choir to bless our worship at different times throughout the year.
